Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. – Isaiah 7:14
The Messenger of Hope
There is so much our Heavenly Father wants us to understand - so many lessons He wants us to learn.
He wants us to learn to trust Him and love Him with all our heart. And as we open our life to God’s teaching, we must allow Him to instruct us using tools of His choice. His lessons are often taught using the most unlikely messengers and even though it might be the worst of circumstances, His lessons always contain a lasting sweetness. God has made it possible for you to know Him and experience an amazing change in your own life.
Every Christian, each in his or her own way, has a responsibility to share the good news of our Jesus. Not only are our words important but our actions, as well. Christians follow the advice of St. Francis of Assisi who advised, “Preach the gospel at all times and, if necessary, use words.” So think about your actions, because actions speak louder than words…..Much louder!
When God thought about sending His messenger to earth, one may have thought that God would send someone like a King, someone of great royalty of noble birth. But who did God send as His messenger? The son of a carpenter who grew up to be a carpenter as well.
So lets praise God every day for sending us His wonderful messenger...Jesus Christ, “and will call Him Immanuel.”
